Our Story
At Thank God For Mechanics, we believe vehicle repair should be honest, affordable, and stress-free.
Founded by Matthew M. Smith, Thank God For Mechanics was built on more than 20 years of hands-on automotive experience. Throughout his career, Matthew worked on everything from passenger vehicles and diesel trucks to fleet vehicles, RVs, motorcycles, and small engines. As a CDL holder with extensive diagnostic and repair experience, he developed a reputation for solving problems that others couldn’t.
Over the years, Matthew noticed a growing problem within the industry. Too many customers were paying inflated prices for repairs, unnecessary services, and excessive markups on parts and labor. He knew there had to be a better way.
That’s why Thank God For Mechanics was created.

Our mission is simple: provide professional, reliable repairs at fair prices while treating customers with honesty and respect. We believe in clear communication, straightforward recommendations, and taking the time to explain repairs in a way that makes sense. No hidden fees. No confusing mechanical jargon. No pressure. Just honest work performed by someone who genuinely cares about helping people.

Behind the scenes, Jovi Mardorf serves as Business Manager, overseeing scheduling, customer communication, billing, and day-to-day operations to ensure every customer receives a smooth and professional experience from the first phone call to the completed repair.
